While most of the region is celebrating the recent snowfall, the community of Incline Village is running full steam ahead in planning for its 7th annual Red, White and Tahoe Blue festival. This summer, set a date to celebrate with us as we commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the Star Spangled Banner throughout this 7th annual festival set for July 3 – 5th. Over the past two years, this grassroots festival has opened the eyes of some of America’s top travel advisors.
Red White and Tahoe Blue was recently awarded the titles of 6thth Best Fireworks in the Country by AOL.Travel.com and the Nation’s #11 Overall Independence Day Celebration by MSNTravel.com.
Although the events are always well attended, everyone’s favorite event is the Star Spangled Fourth of July Fireworks at Incline Ski Beach. This year, the festival is partnering with the Reno Philharmonic which is one of the Nation’s premiere regional orchestras.
Traditions will continue with daily flag-raising and retirement ceremonies
wrapping around three days filled with several commemorative events honoring our Veterans, an appropriately themed Tahoe Salutes our Heroes home-town parade, traditional Pancake Breakfasts, the annual Community Fair, Rubber Ducky Races, Patriotic Chalk Drawing contests, a free Ice Cream Social, several signature food and beverage events and lots of great music on the edge of Lake Tahoe.
